Be sure you put the Dawn on her neck getting it as close to her head as possible first. Put it on pretty thick, then quickly soap up the rest of her going from the head to the tail. This will help as best is possible, to keep the fleas from all running to her head. Then take and rub a little on her head. Try to leave it on for several minutes. While she's soaking you will probably see some trying to escape, you can help to rid her of them by picking them off and rinsing them down the drain. After you're all done washing her, you can follow up by squirting a little of the Dawn down the drain and then cleaning the sink/tub with a good scrubbing of bleach and rinsing with lots of hot water. My irrational fear was that they'd climb back out later that night and attack us as we slept peacefully, unaware of the horror that was about to pounce on us.

Yeah, I have some bug issues that I'm working thru. Doesn't help that I watched Stephen Kings, The Mist earlier this week.
