Oh boy, you've opened up a can of worms with this topic as there are some very different and passionate opinions on this forum, when talking about the differences.
IMO, a byb is breeding for the money primarily. Some byb's will try to appear reputable by saying they don't do it for the money and only for the love of the breed, but it's rarely the truth in my experience.
I know very few reputable byb's. Most of the reputable breeders I'm aware of are exhibitor/breeders. Although, I'm aware of some that I don't consider so reputable.
