I used to take him in the shower with me...so I am wondering if it is the metal sink that scares him.. One thing I am going to try first is getting a rubber sink mat to see if that makes him feel better. He really goes thru quite a bit of trembling...yesterday I actually put a harness and leash on him and took him out while he was soaked with water and not fully rinsed off about 3min after he was in the sink, to see if he had to pee...he did not but wanted to go for a walk. I had to re shampoo him to finish his grooming.
When I used to take him in the shower...I didn't have a sink hose in those days ....I used to hold him in my arms while I was rinsing him..but I feel that the shower water is harder on him than the sink hose. He never wa really crazy about the bath time but he never reacted this way. Now it takes him a good 10min to calm down.....he won't even take a treat till he is calm and of course rubs his head in my sheets (which I allow him to do).
I really would like the dog whisperer to see this
