The baby is sick. She has been doing NOTHING. I pick her up and her head flops to the side but then she picks it up and cries. Very lethargic and just seeming not ok. CLEAR discharge from the nose. Just a little and is yawning A LOT. I listened to her chest and she seems congested so I called the vet at 430 and rushed in. She said the baby is fat, so is eating. Not congested BUT is working hard to breath. I asked why, she said maybe mama jumped on her and bruised her. She said not to keep her on a heating pad maybe she was to hot. Said antibiotics may hurt more than help since she could get them in her lungs. She also said something about fading puppy syndrome but said our baby doesnt fit the classic bill since she is not crying.
She said to watch her but as long as she does eat she can't help much. Said if she stoped eating all we can do is bottle feed her.
I feel very helpless right now. She seems so still. I keep checking and I am so very afraid I might check and she won't be with me any more.
