first off the reason i bought a yorkie in the first place was because my daughters Allergist recogmended the breed, i have purchased three yorkies so far and i would never buy another breed after owning my yorkies. i have spoken to several breeders that have pretty much damned me and my puppy since i have started researching my chocolate or liver yorkie (what ever you want to call it). i relize professional breeders take great pride in the breed and i respect that, but when someone like myself comes along and loves the breed but could care less if its registered or not because a piece of paper does not change the smile on my daughters face, i think it is pretty sad that i get beat up on for buying, or trying to sell a dog, that isnt "perfect" in someone eyes.
i guess the best way to explain it is that i would sell a 37cent stamp for a dollar yet im not willing to sell it for a pennie either... by posting my add, i wasnt trying to sell a "rare" yorkie (cause trust me, enough people have told me there is no such thing) i was hopefully trying to find more info on them, if someone is interested in them or where to turn. too many are getting caught up in the fact that "gizmo"(my chocolate yorkie) is a mutant but that doesnt mean that there isnt anyone out there that enjoys that type of dog and excepts it for what it is....this is a living animal not a mutant! it might not be perfect but he is alive, well and very cute. Im not looking to make a buck, i could care less about the money...whats fair is fair and i am entitled to that along with the buyer.
all three of my yorkies (not including my puppies) could be registered but i decided not to. if i was after money i would have registered them. i love my dogs and yes they are spoiled and very well taken care of, but a piece of paper doesnt make a better pet and surely doesnt make my daughters allergies any better. (in case any one cares a yorkie is by far the best choice for my daughters medical condition, she reacts very well with them)
lastly, i love to hear everyones opinion, you are entiled to it. but please dont knock me down for trying to give a great puppy (or "mutant" as some call him) a good home, this is something that eats, drinks, breathes, and is living. my other two puppies that are sold are going to very good homes and to lower income families that can not afford a "perfect!" yorkie! the price was extremely affordable and a good pet is going to get a good home.
and by the way.....do a little research and there is a auction site out there for dogs...i feel that is inhumane and against my personal Beliefs so i refuse to post that web site. i have spent 20 plus hours in the last week alone researching this......ive done my homework
take care and take care of your dog(s)

p.s. i would love to hear all your opinions and will reply if you like as long as you can stop looking at me as a "backyard breeder" and as an animal lover, which i am, that is trying to find a good home for my last puppy. i have a lot of money into all 6 of my yorkies and there is nothing wrong with trying to get a portion of that back |
