I think if your dog has a silk coat and it is easier to take care of it is nice to keep it long but the cottony coat is so hard on them when they are groomed and it mats so easily. My first yorkie had a cottony coat and I put her is a short puppy cut as an adult and she was so much happier. But like someone else said, be sure to explain to the groomer exactly what you want or you may be in for a big surprise. |
