Garrett is almost 6months, and I've been too afraid to take him to the groomers, for the very reasons stated here. His hair is getting a bit long, so I try to brush him with a slicker brush every night (you know the ones with the little pins). I trim his ears, the pads of his paws, and his underside myself. I usually use scissors, as he is very still while I'm doing it. He's good like that, as a matter of fact he generally falls asleep. Last night I got brave, and gave him an all-over trim......I just picked up small sections of hair and trimmed off the very ends. He looks pretty good to me
. I think I'll hold off going to the groomers as long as I can......maybe I'll buy a set of shears and do it myself....I've been cutting my son's hair for years now, he's 11, how hard could a puppy be
