If it were me and I knew it was only kennel cough I would bring
that pup home and have my vet care for it especially if it were
purchased from a pet store. If the pup only had kennel cough,(your very
lucky) which is treatable without any lingering effects, I wouldn't take the chance of it staying there for fear in 10 days it will pick up something else.
