I am using Interceptor with AImer now, and I will try to explain why...I tried "Googling" but couldn't find anything definite. My Vet explained that the lufenuron actually sterilizes the fleas, but it can't do this until the nasty creatures bite your doggie. She told me that this isn't a problem with most dogs, but if you have allergies to flea bites, it can be a big problem. She recommended that we stick with Interceptor and a flea preventative. That way the fleas don't have to bite to be prevented.
I hope I'm explaining that correctly, someone might have something to add.
