| a cgc is the canine good citizens certificate. It is a very good way to make sure any dog is socialable and not aggressive. It's basically just obedience training but obedience in social situations as well. The akc has a list of cgc testers that are available in your area. In fact they just got a bit stricter on the testers as well which is good. Your temperment test is a bit more involved and your dog has only two chances to pass. there are not as many t.t testers but again the akc can give you a list of trainers and dates for testing.
