I just talked to Patti and the fire is out, though there are still firefighters all around watching for anything starting up again. Patti had been out helping the neighbors to water down their roofs. Patti and Jack have a sprinkler system that they set up just in case there was every a fire...it wets down the house and grounds, and they still have them running. The helicopters were there dropping water and she said some of them were so low, they could see their faces. Jack was watching the firefighters...all lined up, working to stop it.

They did have their pups all crated and ready to go at a moments notice. Many people evacuated, but they didn't. As far as Patti knows, no homes were lost. I hope the fire doesn't start back up...that's always a worry. Smoke is very thick in the area.

Patti is beat and said she was going to take Jack to get something to eat and they were told if they leave the area, that they won't be able to get back in.

I told Patti you were all praying for her and she was so thankful and touched! I think I'll send her this thread.

Thanks everyone for praying. I was so scared when she called me and heard the distress in her voice.
