I bathe Penny every week, and I brush her once or twice a week. I'd like to get in the habit of brushing her every day. What kind of conditioner do you use (in your mix) and what kind of brush? I use mostly a comb to work out the knots, and she ends up sooo soft... but I just wonder if there is better.

Is it common to shave the private areas? Penny seems to do ok as long as she visits the groomer every couple of months. But, it's gotten a little long this time, and I think her fur is catching pee!

Her hair gets so long around her back legs, and this is where her matting is (in addition to her under arms). So I wasn't sure if I need to tell the groomer something more specific.
