Now would be the time to start training him. Young Yorkies will often have lots of energy and spirit when they are awake. They will want your full attention and will always want to play. If he is nipping and biting, I suggest finding a plush small toy for him to bite and gnaw with. Or a pair of your old cotton socks. If he does try to bite or nip and it hurts, set him in a crate or put him somewhere to "discipline" him. Hopefully, he will learn from it that nipping and biting at you is wrong and will associate that with being "disciplined." Also, if he is quite young, make sure he has his shots and his gotten a checkup at the vet.
