Here in the UK we recently had a program on the value of probiotics. The conclusion the Professor came to was that the yogurts and yogurt type drinks like Danone, are a waste of money as the cultures contained in them are destroyed by the stomach acids. He says that probiotics are only useful after taking antibiotics or for a medical condition that would benefit from them. The probiotics to use then MUST be acid stable ones to have any beneficial effect. I just thought I would share this with you.

I have some sites with probiotics which claim to be acid stable. I don't know if they are good are not, but they look as though they are the sort of thing he was suggesting you use.

culturelle, probiotics, probiotic supplement, probiotic benefits, probiotic foods, digestive health, acidophilus, Lactobacillus, healthy bacteria, immune strength, bowel discomfort, stomach discomfort,

Another company which is famous for its probiotics is Biocare. They are VERY expensive and definitely acid stable. I will see if I can find their web address and add it to the ones I have given you. I hope I got the links correct! Just feel a little worried that the first one should be
_p_ instead of -p- so if it doesn't work you know how to fix it!
