I'll have to say that both Rex and Rowdy use a similar strategy to get me up (without the meowing and bat, of course). They both "hit" me with their front paws, while sitting on top of me!!! And they will put their paw on my face to try to wake me up.
It was so funny...the other morning, for whatever reason, they decided to wake up my hubby - he does NOT get up with them, I do, so why they decided to wake him up, I don't know. He has a very severe heart condition and does not sleep well, so he usually sleeps till 9:00-10:00AM. I"m up early, and they know it so I have no idea why they decided to try to wake him up.
Anyway, when they start trying to get him up, he puts the pillow over his head. I see him do that, but I don't get up right away. In a minute or so, I look over at him and both Rex and Rowdy are sitting on the pillow on his head! It was sooooo funny. About that time, I decided I'd better get up!
