I am so sorry for your loss! What a disappointment!
Someone on a canine reproduction list I am on recently told of a dog (not a yorkie) who had ten puppies resorbed. They had x-rays showing them on day 50 then on day 60 or so they x-rayed again because she had suddenly slimmed down and the 2nd x-ray showed only a partial puppy. They were surprised that she could absorb so many, especially with being so far along with bones being developed and everything. So I guess it can happen.
