Just the other day we had Sadie with us in town and I had to make a trip into Walmart. I had taken her into Walmart one other time and no one said anything ot me. As a matter of fact, while I was in the checkout line, another lady had a small dog with her too. Anyway, so the other day I just walked in holding Sadie. This young employee walked over to me while I was getting my cart (I had my mom with me and my 3 boys) and asked, "Um, we only allow service dogs in here. Is your dog a service dog?" and I said "Yes." And she looked at me kinda funny and said "What service does he provide?" and I smiled and said "She makes me happy and she is my only girl, as you can see!" It didnt work though. I had to have my oldest son, he is 12, take Sadie out front and hold her while we went through Walmart. It was a good effort though.
We are going on vacation next week. I can pay the extra $10/day to bring her and keep her in the hotel, but I dont think thats going to be a good time for her so we've decided to have my parents babysit her for us. |
