They do lose their baby teeth about that age. With Roxie her adult canines came in and she never lost the baby teeth (something you should watch for). When she went to the vet to get spaid they removed those baby teeth while she was already out. Make sure your baby has lots of chewies around for teething, it helps keep them from chewing up everything else in the house!
