Oh, I agree. Many, many years ago, I caught my tiny chi puppy chewing on a lamp cord behind a chair. I could see the copper inside. Scared me to death. Put the wires up after that. It could have been fatal if I hadn't caught her when I did. I was young then, but I learned that lesson well.
Maybe she was telling you that she wants more attention from you!
