Your baby will be fine for a neuter. Just have them do the pre-op blood work to be sure he will be ok. If you get the all clear then go for it. Every day cats and dogs that are very small are neutered and spayed by the ASPCA and they are fine. My girls were under 3 lbs when I had them spayed and they were fine.
