I called the breeder that we bought Sadie from and she told me that the father of Sadie is AKC registered but the mother is not. She is CKC registered and they registered the father as CKC as well. She told me that she has done a dna check on her mother and she is a Yorkshire and would send me paperwork if I wanted it. Thats good enough for me. She also said that if I wanted to breed Sadie later on that I could have a DNA test on her to prove her breed. I love Sadie either way but thought if we did decide to breed her one day, it's good to know her background and that she is what I say (and the breeder) says she is. I ordered a pedigree on her when I sent off for her paperwork for CKC today.
