Janie - So they are having a New Years party in September? That sounds like fun. I guess it is like Christmas in July up there. We stayed in a place with the name "Pines" in it. BarbaraM - You asked if any one on here had experience with Pancreatitis. Piccolo had it almost two years ago. Poor thing. I also do not feed her any table scraps. What I think happened is that it was around Thanksgiving and I made a turkey. I think either something dropped on the floor or she got it from licking the towels I threw down the steps after the clean up. Turkey is supposed to be a big cause of Pancreatitis. Piccolo was in the emergency hospital for three days with IVs. Very scary. I kept going to visit her at the hospital. It was weird for her to be in there on Thanksgiving Day.
I was like you, I kept thinking and thinking about what could have caused the problem. She has not had it again and I am very, very careful when I prepare food now, to make sure nothing falls on the floor.
