Over the years we have had him on and off this diet and he good for awhile , and then he starts up again. He has been diagnosed with pancreatitis and we have tried all kind of dry food and still he suffers. We do think he also suffer from being a daddy's boy, and sometimes will not eat unless I am home. Currently we have him on Nutra dry food with oatmeal for senitive stomach. He has been on it for about 2 1/2 weeks and was doing great, until ysterday when he vomited. Please note that when he gets real bad he is very lethargic, vomits and has diarrhea for a couple days. this is when we worry most. His overall health besides this is great, when he is not in one of his sick spells he is completely normal. |
If he has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, he should be on Science Diet ID both canned and dry food available. Check with your vet. That is a special diet for little one's with pancreatitis. Good luck.
With pancreatitis, they can have recurrences of vomiting and diahhrea. When that happens, withhold food for 24 hrs then start back with his food again. The lapse in feeding them gives their pancreas a time of rest.
