This may have very well been a troll as you say. I guess you'll never find out because if they weren't you have run them away anyhow. This person might not have been aware that a simple chat with the vet could make it a little less expensive. I have seen people on this forum ban together to help another member pay for medical care. One of my yorkies has bad teeth and I dare anyone to tell me it is due to him not being properly cared for.
I feel extremely sorry for this yorkie. (If it truely does exist) it will not be getting the help that they asked for.
I do agree this yorkie need to see a vet asap... but you guys handled this all wrong.

I do not agree... YT members have passion for their dogs, and it is very upsetting to know one is in pain, and ill. Nothing is being done about it,and many of us will express our feelings about it.
I have no problem with someone posting about a sick animal, when it is given the right medical treatment, and all is being done for the dog. What is wrong is to know the dog is hurting, and do nothing . The point of the YT is to offer support, advice, and encouragement .
NO one on here is going to be happy to see a Yorkie suffering. Yes, I believe it is important not to allow your dog to suffer, and to get the dog to the vet! NO matter what the costs are. Just because the dog was older, is no excuse/
