 Question about the boys.
O.k...I've never had an 'intact' male so it stands to reason that I've never had one living with girls in heat either. I've noticed Murfee's urine has become stronger since the girls have come in heat and has a rather skunk like smell to it. Of course he is marking (thank goodness for belly bands!) which I expected but is he now destined to smell like a skunk for the rest of his life or will this just happen when the girls come in heat again?
Yes, frequent bathing and cleaning with wipes does help but when I change his belly band or open the garbage can that has a pad in it...whew! I've even noticed the smell around the front deck so I've been hosing it off quite a lot lately but I'm sure I'll have to use a deck cleaner at some point. |
