Do you mean if having CKC paperwork means your dog is purebreed? No, not necessarily. Any dog may be registered with CKC with a photo and a statement from another stating it...looks like a specific breed. So the sire or dam could've possibly been registered this way. CKC has become the preferred registry of puppymillers and byb...because the breeder incurs no cost for registering a litter.

AKC is the only registry in which breeders provide dna test results on litters.
