I was using human hair gel, and Joey developed an eye ulceration. I don't know if it was due to the use of the product or not. With the human hair gel, little bits of hair would still come down and occasionally get in his eyes. After he had the ulceration, I stopped using the gel, and got Pet Silk Topknot Gel; it's totally different than human products that I've seen. It has a thick honey consistency and works perfectly holding those tiny hairs out of the way while we are growing them out, and no more eye problems. I found my Pet Silk on e-bay and it was only $15.00 including shipping. We had to take Joey to the emergency room for the eye problem, and you know how expensive that can be.
