MRSA is methacilian(sp) resistatnt staff areus(sp) there is also ORSA which is oxicillian resistant and VRE Vancomician resistant ecoli(sp) and many othere antibiotic resistant infections in the hospital most of which if you follow the hospital policy on hand washing you will be fine and if the patient has any of these they will be in isolation and you will not be allowed to take the dog in.
I work in a hospital as a respiratory therapist and we have lots of our furry friends come vist, it makes the patients very happy and a happy patient gets well faster and are more willing to do the things we ask them to do even when it hurts.
You are doing a wonderfull thing, making people smile and helping them get well faster!
Major Kudos to you and your furbaby. |
