I agree with the previous poster. Your gal is just a little thing and accidents can always be avoided. If you really want to become a breeder you need to learn how to deal with whelping complications. Knowing how to handle a dry birth and milk a pup down the birth canal is essential. I'd see if I could find a mentor as learning these things through reading is very difficult and can cost a pup his life. I hope your gal gets settled soon and you spay her to prevent losing her in the future.
