Yes, they're using the same pad. I think that if I tried putting another one down, it would just confuse them. Do you think that my older dog is mad that he has to share the pad with his new little brother? It's very strange, he used to be so good about going on his pad, and now he absolutely refuses! We have these stare-offs, where he sulks silently on the pad for a good half hour refusing to go potty, and then when I walk alway, he moves and pees right on the floor! It's definitely driving me crazy!!
