Lucky Dog is located near Horton Plaza downtown and The Honest Kitchen is in San Diego as well. There are so many things to see and do right downtown or within a 1.5 hour drive - Balboa Park and its many museums, Sea World, Old Town, all the Missions, Lego Land, the Zoo and Wild Animal Park, tons of beaches & nature trails, wine country - I could go on and on........
wow....boy i must have missed alot of things when my daughter and i were in San Diego in 2005.....the beaches were dirty , cold, and i for one didnt see a pet one on a beach....we ended up walking a little on i think (cant really remember for sure) Laguna Beach..(which ever one has the boardwalk)...and i really was not impressed at all....the beaches in Florida are paradise compared to the ones we saw there....and it is easy to get lost along the beach road there....im great with directions and we kept getting lost....i rented a car....as we stayed in a small town called Del Mar...which was actually cute...but again not impressed with the beaches there....also we went first weekend in June that year and it was cold....65 degrees on the beach is cold....never got above 78 the intire time we were there.....JMO
