You would do better to find a breeder out of NYC that you TRUST. Maybe one of the members who have been on YT a long time. Or a local breeder you can meet in person.
I help in rescue as well and I get things like this all the time from people wanting to adopt one of the dogs. They always want to send more money and have you send some back. It seems there are more dishonest people than honest left in the world.
