I too, have tried almost everything (except Valium) b/c when we go on a car trip, it's a 10 hour drive and it's very disconcerting when Max was panting, shaking, and whining the entire time (along with having to be held UP....). The last thing I got which I haven't tried yet is Bonine....and it's been so long since I read about it I need to go find out how much I'm supposed to give b/c I've forgotten.
I think people who give it to their pets daily do so because they work and their pets have separation anxiety. Like I said though, we don't need it for that. Wow, hallucinate? How scarey. He must have had a unusual reaction to one of the ingredients because there is nothing hallucinogenic in it. That's the only bad reaction I've heard about it other than it not doing anything at all for some. It didn't even make Spike especially sleepy or act differently at all except he wasn't afraid of the rain.
