I know what you mean. I was never very good at comprehending what I read. Reading out loud helped a lot though. When I read in my head, my mind always wonders. After a while I realize I'm thinking about what's for dinner and just moving my eyes across the words. Hope that helps or you find something that does. I don't know which book you're reading now but, try Of Mice and Men. I don't like many books, especially the one required in high school, but I did get into that one. Good luck!
