I am so sorry I did not see this earlier, as I live in Springfield. Just to let you all know though, I did call animal control ( a kill shelter) they will not let anyone but a rescue take the animals. They hold them for 5 days, if someone does not come forward, they WILL euthanize the dog. Only way around it is to have the rescue tag the dog. (or be the owner) C.A.R.E. has tagged this little girl. She will be going to them, not euthanized. C.A.R.E is a very reputable rescue in our area. They screen potential homes very well, and I have no doubt that this baby will be well taken care of. Again, sorry I did not see this earlier, but I did not even realize this section was here. I will pay more attention in the future.
