My husband is really funny and loves people and our staff is the best, very caring and compassionate. We offer "spa dentistry" so we do head, neck shoulder and temple massage with the procedures and we have soft blankets, pillows and massage pads. We have hand wax treatment we do when you are having a cleaning and we have aromatherapy and candles so you don't have that awful dental office smell.
We offer snacks and refreshments and after a long procedure over an hour we offer a starbucks or a jamba juice or a milkshake on a silver tray since you are hungry but too numb to eat. We also give lip balm and we do hand massages as well.
We have DVDs and head phones for tooth whitenings and other procedures and we have waterfalls and fountains for a relaxing, soothing atmosphere. We also offer sleep denistry also known as sedation dentistry for a truly comfortable experience.
All of this and we actually charge less than the competing dentists in the area!!
I would look for a "spa dentist" in your area if you are afraid or have had a bad experience. It is worth it. |
That is wonderful. I have a good friend that is a hygenist. I need to send her a copy of this. It's great that you do all those things to make patients comfortable.
My son goes to a pedodentist. The atmosphere there is great. The waiting rooms of course have game systems. The main area has a mural of the ocean and anything you can find there painted on the walls and ceilings. Even a small row boat attached to the ceiling.
They have game systems in the back for the kids while they are waiting on their procedures to start. They also have tv up in the ceilings over their chairs for the kids to help keep them relaxed.
Needless to say he dosen't mind going to the dentist at all. I have a problem getting him to leave though.
