The idea behind charging for the vote is that only those serious about attending the meet-up NO MATTER WHERE IT'S HELD will be the ones voting. They won't be afraid about losing their vote money, because they know it will go toward their registration when the final city is selected - no matter what city wins the vote. Those are the members who will make the meet-up successful year after year after year, and I can only hope there are a lot of you like that out there, as I'd love to meet each and every one of you

! For those people, it won't matter if their selected city wins or not, as it's ultimately about getting together with our YT friends so we can meet each other in person, no matter what city we're in while we're doing it

!!!
Money is a concern for all of us, and I definitely understand that it's pricey to fly or drive anywhere these days, but as Misty pointed out, airfare fluctuates daily, and the cost won't ultimately fluctuate that much whether it's on one coast or the other. We already eliminated the cities that seemed cost prohibitive (i.e. San Francisco, New York, etc.), as we know money is a major issue for everyone! Hopefully you can join us no matter which city is ultimately selected
