I wish I knew this 3 years ago (almost) when I lost my 5 month old baby yorkie to rat poison as well. I suspected someone threw it in our yard, I even called the police station to see if there was reports of that. I asked vets in the local area if dogs were coming in sick from ingesting rat poison more frequently lately. Everyone said no. I have no other ideas on how my baby got poisoned. It was tragic!
I hope your Sal is doing well and on the road to recovery! Having lost one in this tragic and senseless way I understand your pain over his illness and the reasons why. Some people are just sick. Imagine doing that, to kill animals for FUN? **BLECCCHHH*
