Someone on this site posted over a year ago about making a carseat from a rubbermaid rectangular plastic container. It was pretty cool. I still have dreams of doing the same one day.
If you've ever seen the snoozer carseats, they are just firm foam pieces glued together with a nice cover on them. Would not be hard to make at all.
