Can you put a plastic bin her her crate?
Most do not get serious about the bed until the puppies come..some new moms need to have at least one pup to understand that is where you want her to stay..once puppy is there she will stay in the bed most often...bitches are different? Just be sure you can get to the mom and pups easily if she needs help..you can put a bin by her crate and once she starts whelping she can be moved to the bin...do not use too much bedding...a towel works well,,have several on hand to change during whelping.. |
