Do you think now would be a good time to get a new puppy? You must have your hands full with Duke (hope he gets better soon). A new pup could be a lot to handle for you, and for Duke, right now. Not saying it couldn't be done. I would mostly be concerned with how it would be for Duke to have a new pup running around at this time. Is he well enough to deal with a new pup? You sound like you would be a wonderful Yorkie Mom but I can't tell by your posts just how serious Duke's condition is, though you did say that amputation was a possibility. Have you thought about possibly getting an adult Yorkie? That may be a good fit for you at this time.
