I hear some yorkies like to swim in my case Yoda loves the sprinklers and his puppy pool but I've never filled it enough that he could swim in it (he to is a teapot at around 12lbs). However we took Faith to the creek last year and my husband was standing on a rock in it and she tried to walk to him and walked right into it
and sunk about 1 1/2 feet to the bottom and stayed there just looking around like what just happened to me (you could see the bubbles coming from out of her nose) he picked her out by her harness. We don't let her near water now unless completely supervised.
