Help...I have one sad pup... So Abbey is absolutely attached to my BF's dog, Nuppy. Nuppy pretty much had lived with me full time bc my boyfriend lives in my apartment even though he has his own. Anyway, my BF and I have been fighting a bit so he went back to live at his apartment, and poor Abbey is beside herself in sadness. I have never seen a dog so sad.
When they first left she sat by the door for almost 4 hours crying and staring out the crack. I would move her over and try to play and she was not having it. That was last night. We went to bed and she did fine. Now today, she hasn't really eaten all day. She is not very interested in playing. Annnd she still goes to the door and cries. I swear yesterday I saw a bunch of tears streaming down her face (is this possible? do dogs actually cry with sadness and produce sad tears?).
Anyway, it is destroying me to see her like this. I don't know what to do and she needs to eat. Will she ever be OK??
It's SEVERE seperation anxiety. Poor gal.
1. This is how she waits at the door.
2. Abbey crying (I SWEAR I see tears).
