Our guy is one of two that were not at all tame - he's been here about 1 year now and loves my husband and loves the other dogs we have and just recently has allowed me to pet him. He still hides if too much is going on.

It really does take time and plenty of patience... I have a Great Pyrenees that I rescued about 5 years ago now and she still wont allow me to pet her. The only way I can pet her or get her frontline on or vetting done is for my husband to walk by the pasture into the woods then she will rush into the barn because she is afraid he is going to be shooting down there. Then when I have her, she is fine. But she never has got over her abuse.
I feel it will be different with Marley because she is in the house and Delilah is in the pasture with the goats mainly.
