I think most people talk up yorkies as an ankle bitting, sickly tiny dog. Yes, they can get sick...just like any other dog. I have yet to have a problem with mine...learn how to take care of them and then take good care of them.
The one thing that I find to be true is that there has yet been a breed other than yorkshires that capture my heart! Just make sure your getting your yorkie from a reputable, clean breeder.
