I voted San Diego as it is only a 3 hr drive for me....we have done 8 hours to Reno and once we got caught in a snow storm at 2 am in the mountains unexpected. I had never drove in the snow or knew not one thing about chains on tires.

The last 2 hours into Reno took us 7 hours because we could not see much in front of us....it was an amazing experience, oh and the furkids slept the whole way...lol

So San Diego will be an easy drive...unless there is a snow storm, we'll be late but we'll be there..lol
