I think its hard to determine alot about their coats when they are pups. Looking at their parents you could get some idea, but mine always looked ratty within minutes of a bath. Lol, reminds me of my daughter when she was little, she had this beautiful silky blonde hair and when I washed it and blow dryed it, she looked like an angel, 30 minutes later she would be rolling around with her brothers and back to messy. We have 4 adult yorkies and it took about 2 years to see exactly what their coats would look like
