You want to check out the breeder.. ask lots of questions and also make sure the breeder is asking you lots of questions too, they will want to make sure that the puppy is going to a good home.. not just making a sale! Ask for references and check them out.. People will be glad to tell you about their pet the got from the breeder! go see the puppy and it's parents if possible. Ask about a health contract, AKC papers, All that good stuff. You will be thankful in the long run buying from a reputable breeder.
