Mild to moderate kennel cough doesn't require any treatment at all. It's likely there wouldn't be any additional vet fees.

A bad case of kennel cough is treated with antibiotics.

This sounds like a pet store...with the other breeds you're mentioning. Of course she's scared and maybe traumatized by being put back there.

Really trying to phrase this nicely....but I don't think pets should be considered interchangeable and certainly not for something as simple as kennel cough. It sounds like you regret getting this particular breed more than any concern for her.
