I'm not a breeder, but I think us moms tend to be a bit overprotective with our babies, and if you took care of him for almost 3 1/2 months, its only understandable you feel this way. It shows your good feelings and that you breed because you love theses babies, not because you want to make money.
I don't see anything wrong with you calling them and asking how the baby is doing, do let them know, that you are willing to take him back at any time if they, for any reason, have to give him up.
Call them tonight, it will put your mind at easy and you will be able to have a much needed good night sleep.
